For those ultimately seeking to adopt but wanting a short period to meet the dog arriving from Mexico, we offer a foster-to-adopt programme. You would welcome the dog upon arrival from Mexico and spend up to 2 weeks with them before making a decision to adopt. During this window we pause advertising the pet.
If after 2 weeks you decide this pet isn’t the best fit, applicants agree to continue to foster the animal while we resume advertising to find a suitable placement. This is typically offered for animals arriving from Mexico who you may not otherwise have an opportunity to meet ahead of time.
